Neighborhood Job Fair in Fountain Valley Creates Win-Win for Employers and Job Seekers

On March 18, the Orange County One-Stop Center graciously hosted the 2015 Central Orange County Job Fair. Over 50 companies and organizations held booths with representatives ready to speak with job seekers. Participants included Gelsons Markets, the Dayle McIntosh Center, Cintas, Securitas and State Farm. Over 800 people packed the event held in Fountain Valley.

Job fairs provide a tremendous service to the community by offering a centralized forum for job seekers to share their resumes and make a great first impression. While the internet has distinct advantages when searching for job openings, nothing can replace the value of face to face interaction with an employer like a job fair.

The Orange County One-Stop Centers provide employment and training services, including a Resource Center with access to computers, copiers, and telephones. The centers also host resume distribution programs, a career resource library, labor market information, and networking opportunities, among many other helpful programs to promote job growth in Orange County. The impressive number of attendees and exhibitors this year was very encouraging. Thank you to all who attended and participated to make our region and state a hub for job growth that is bringing prosperity back to the Golden State.

Job seekers and companies fill the room at the 2015 Central Orange County Job Fair.
