Attended by well over 1,000 people the 2015 Senior Summit began with a vendor fair followed by an exciting program featuring presentations by highly renowned experts: Michael Schrader, CEO, CalOptima; Jim McAleer, President/CEO, Alzheimer’s Association OC; Dr. Claudia Kawas, Professor, Department of Neurology, UC Irvine; Dr. Kerry Burnight, Professor, Geriatric Medicine, UC Irvine; Dr. Marilyn Ditty, CEO, Age Well Senior Services; and Karen Roper, Director, OC Community Services.
The summit addressed many issues concerning senior citizens in Orange County. California’s senior citizens play vitally important roles in our state economy, society and culture. Retired Californians devote countless hours as volunteers, help their families with childcare, and impart valuable life lessons and wisdom you can’t find anywhere else.
