On Monday, September 28th, the Southwest California Legislative Council (SWCLC) ran by local community leader and REALTOR® Gene Wunderlich featured Senator Jeff Stone. Following the hard working Senator’s insider perspective recap of the challenges and opportunities he has faced in Sacramento this recent legislative session, the office of California State Board of Equalization Member Diane Harkey provided some upbeat hope for those business owners that are constantly dealing with regulatory challenges. Member Harkey firmly believes that local taxpaying businesses are without a doubt the economic engine that drives California’s economy. If you are struggling with an issue over state taxes and fees involving your business, Diane is here to help.
SWCLC’s meetings are always a packed house with several local elected official offices represented including Senator Mike Morrell, Assemblywoman Marie Waldron, Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez, Eastvale City Councilmember Clint Lorimore, Temecula Councilmember Maryann Edwards, Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District Director and Treasurer Andy Morris, and Murrieta Valley Unified School District Board President Ken Dickson. Also represented were the Building Industry Association, Apartment Association, Cities and Chambers of Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar and Menifee. SWCLC is one of the best groups of representatives for Southwest Riverside County looking out for the local interests of industry, small businesses and local taxpayers.
Thank you Gene for your great work in holding truly collaborative meetings!
