Run the race before you stuff your face!

Thanksgiving will mark the 38th annual Turkey Trot in Dana Point.  This highly regarded event will be produced by the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce in Partnership with City of Dana Point, Dana Point Harbor, California State Parks, County of Orange and Dana Marina Plaza.

Featuring scenic routes through picturesque Dana Point Harbor and Doheny State Beach, the Turkey Trot offers something for every member of the family. The Dana Point Turkey Trot is a USA Track & Field (USATF) sanctioned and certified event.

The event features a 10K, 5K, and Kids 1 mile course.  Participants are welcome to walk or run, but for those that enjoy competitive running the top three male and female participants in the 10K will be awarded cash prizes.  In addition the popular costume contest will return this year, so be sure to dress up!

Proceeds from the event will be benefitting Family Assistance Ministries which serves the underprivileged and undernourished population of South Orange County. As a homeless prevention agency, FAM provides food, shelter and client aid to an average of 3,600 individuals per month.
