In her continued support of California business, State Board of Equalization (BOE) Member Diane L. Harkey sponsored a Record Keeping for Small Business Workshop in the 4th District recently. The presentation at Mission Viejo Civic Center was organized to inform business professionals about the exemptions and deductions associated with state taxes, and the rules regarding supporting documents when filing with the BOE.

The audience of 54 included a man with a new business in the fashion industry, a handful of interior designers, and a contractor seeking information on taxable transactions with the federal government.
