On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce held its annual Recognition Breakfast for uniformed officers in the city of Yorba Linda. Over 28 officers were recognized and honored from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Orange County Fire Authority and Emergency Ambulance Services. Yorba Linda Mayor Tim Lindsey and Orange County Supervisor Todd Spitzer congratulated honorees along with representatives from the offices of Congressman Ed Royce, Senator Bob Huff, and Assemblywoman Ling Ling Chang.

During the presentation, Emergency Ambulance Services CEO Chad Druten highlighted how two of his Emergency Medical Technicians had recently saved the life of a twenty-nine year old Yorba Linda businessman. Druten explained how the two EMTs responded to a call that the businessman was experiencing a seizure when he was actually experiencing cardiac arrest. The two EMTs applied CPR and saved his life. This is only one of the numerous stories of self-sacrificing acts that our brave uniformed men and women perform every day to keep us safe. A huge thank you all uniformed officers everywhere for protecting our community, we appreciate you!
