Hemet Job Creators “Check Out” Business Tax Tips at the Library

By Lance Christiansen

The Hemet Public Library was closed yesterday, but that didn’t stop area business owners from trying to “check-out” the free workshop sponsored by State Board of Equalization Vice Chair Diane Harkey. The Hemet/San Jacinto area was obviously “overdue” for sales and use tax information as the gathering had to be moved to the larger conference room upstairs to facilitate the enthusiastic turnout. The workshop was also sponsored by State Senator Jeff Stone and City of Murrieta Mayor Randon Lane, the latter of whom welcomed the taxpayers and briefly answered questions. “It’s great to see Vice Chair Harkey taking such a pro-business stance for her district by offering workshops like these throughout southern Riverside County” stated Lane.
