By Tony Knott

COSTA MESA – Orange County took a fashion forward step in the manufacturing sector recently with the opening of b.spoke, a men’s custom tailored clothing boutique in Costa Mesa. The bright, stylish storefront tucked into a quint business complex has been opened for about 18 months, but the company celebrated its official grand opening during a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Irvine Chamber of Commerce last week.

Owners Dave and Kim Welch have worked in the fashion industry for several years, previously owning a business in Anaheim before launching this new venture. “We have always wanted to open a business in this area where we can be closer to the clients our type of business caters to,” explained David. “When this opportunity presented itself, we were happy to find a perfect location.”

Representatives from California State Board of Equalization Vice Chair Diane L. Harkey’s office presented the Welch’s and their staff with a certificate of appreciation during the event, as well as members of the Irvine Chamber and representatives from other state and local legislators.

b.spoke is your brand, your identity” according to the b.spoke website. “We want to partner with you to create a wardrobe that is reflective of who you are and how you live your life. We believe that fashion is not about what you wear, but how you wear it, and most importantly why you wear it.”
